Synopsis
A group of 80 citizen stockholders built the building in 1906 at a cost of $24,000. It became the recreation center of the community for many years. It contained a hardwood dancing floor that was 60 x 100 feet, an orchestra gallery, and a large banquet hall. In its later years it became the gymnasium for MHS activities. It was located at the same location as the present Middle School Gym at 6th and Washington. It was leased by the School District in 1922, and then was torn down in 1946.
